The air conditioner clutch locks up and that belt controls everything in the motor...we have replaced the clutch at least 3 times in the past six months...what gives?

the clutch is either misaligned or you are not spacing the clutch plate like it should be. Thee is a certain air gap that must be made when replacing the clutch and if you just tighten the nut then it destroys this. the gap shold be about .075"
