I have a 1998 Cadillac Sedan Deville with a 32vNorthstar engine. 120,000 miles. The service engine soon light stays on constantly. The Cadillac mechanic says the diagnostics are coming back that the engine is not running rich enough. He told me to use fuel with 10% ethanol, but that's not taking care of the problem. Is there an additive I can put in with the gas to take care of this?

Your recommendation, please.

I don't agree. The car specifies what octane to use, and you should stick with that. The codes need to be pulled from the computer and then trouble shooting from there. It may be as simple as a case of a sensor giving bad info to the pcm and causing a bad adjustment.
