I am told by the dealership that the upper bushing on the rear knuckle assembly where it connects to the upper A arm is not serviceable. I am told that I have to buy the complete knuckle assembly which is very expensive. My question is does anyone have experience with replacing just the bushing? If so what bushing is used and what is the procedure for changing it?

I have a 1994 Deville and all four bushings went bad. I found a small manufacturer that sells the bushings in sets for $165 per side. This is much cheaper than the approximately $1,000 that GM wants.

Provide tools for taking out the old bushings and pressing in the new ones for $150 but you can send them back for a refund. It took about three weeks to get the bushings I ordered and they have been in my car for over a year now with no problems.

You could rather easily replace the upper and lower bushings in the knuckle if you could find replacements.

Garages will on the average change out the bushings and reinstall the knuckle for $50.00 (US) per side. Faster and correctly installed very inexpensively !

I am in process of changing both rear upper and lower on 1995 cadillac deville. I purchased on Amazon from Dorman Bushings. You can not purchase from Dorman, but you can purchase thru Amazon from Dorman. $33.90 for upper and lower each side. Then go to mechanic shop with aq bushing press and have them put into knuckles. They are easy to replace, wrenches 18mm 12mm 14mm, maybe a couple more, but very easy if you have a shade tree.

I went to Dorman Bushings / You can talk with specialist online to get your part number. You can not purchase from them, but you can purchase from them thru Amazon. Com. 1995 deville is 905-504. The specialist can check your number. My cost $33.90 each side (upper and lower)(press in tool included) free shipping, no tax. Check with the Dorman website. Then order from Amazon, or they will tell you where they can be purchased. Good Luck
