what is causing my 1997 cadillac deville to blow cold air out on the drivers side and hot air on the passenger side when the ac is on?

Perhaps a faulty blend door actuator, or fault in the hvac case. A scan tool that accesses the AC module will possibly reveal a code that would correspond with diagnostics leading to the repair.
