1996 Cadillac Deville CHECK ENGINE-EMISSIONS MESSAGE

After climbing a pretty steep mountain and going down the other side, at the
bottom of the mountain the SERVICE ENGINE SOON and EMISSIONS SYSTEM display came on. Car seemed ok, except when slowing down for a stop light. The engine seemed a bit jumpy at
the stop, but was ok again after accelerating. No stalling. I cleared my codes to see what
might happen today. Anything I missed?
