My A/C compressor froze up and I want to put a smaller belt on it to bypass the A/C unit. What size belt would I use?

It does not look like you can use a shorter belt to bypass the A/C compressor. Check out the configuration of the belt in the images below and you will see the belt will run into the cooling fan pulley. You will need to replace the compressor which you can get on Amazon for between $140.00 and $290.00 depending on if you want a rebuilt or a new unit.

I would recommend a new unit; they just work better and last much longer. Here is a video and a guide to help you with the job with instructions for your vehicle in the images below as well.

You will need to discharge the system and remove the serpentine belt as well. The compressor will come with oil already inside of it. Please check out the images below and let us know how it goes.
