I HAVE A 1996 RIVIERA 3.8 SUPPERCHARGED THAT HAS PROBLEMS. 1. THE SECURITY LIGHT COMES ON EVERY TIME I TRY TO START IT. It will start after about 5 mins or so. The factory alarm has never worked for me. I dont know if this is part of the problem? The dome lights have never worked either? . Anyone else can start this car right off but me . I have had 30 paople start this car with no problem? 2 It has dual climate controll. The driver side of the car blows hot air no matter what --but the passenger side blows cold ( a/c). It doesnt matter what you adjust it to? 3 the( traction off) and ( abs) lights stay on all the time when running ? This car is in mint condition and I would like to get it fixed. Any help would be super. Thanks

Have you done a relearn on the pass-key?
GM PASS LOCK RELEARN- Ignition to "run" position, try to start and let key return to "run" position
Approx ten minutes security light will go off
Turn key "off" and wait 5 seconds
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 relearns.
Turn key off, then start it
Check fuses both in the car and under the hood, Have PCM scanned for codes, if the ABS light is on you have stored codes, scannibg will pinpoint these, and scanning will find out if the light control, or body control modules are OK.

Hello. Thanks for the fast response. I did what you said and it didnt make any difference. The security light still comes on when you try to start it. I know why the abs light is on.I found the broken wire on the driver side front hub assembly. I cant explaine the traction off light. . Any ideah on why the climate controll blows hot on the driver side and cold on the passenger side? It does this no matter what you adjust it to? There will be more donations.

Trac light is on due to the ABS problem, fix that and both lights will go out, The a/c needs a recharge, or possibly a compressor. Security system will need to be scanned via the DLC and codes read.
