If the traction and ABS light are coming on, it is setting a code that would directly relate to a fault. It would require a scan tool to extract the codes, it would be a guess at this point as to what is causing it, there are many possibilities. There are a couple bulletins regarding front wheel bearing issues with your vehicle, and a special policy campaign if yours fits the criteria. Here is that info.

#06036A: Special Policy Adjustment - Front Wheel Bearing - (Jan 4, 2007)

Subject: 06036A -- SPECIAL POLICY ADJUSTMENT - FRONT WHEEL BEARING

Models: 2002-2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS

2002-2004 PONTIAC AZTEK

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The breakpoints for model year 2004 have been revised. Discard all copies of bulletin 06036, issued September 2006.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Condition
Some customers of 2002-2004 Buick Rendezvous and Pontiac Aztek vehicles may hear a hum, growl, or groan coming from the front wheels at speeds of 10 mph (16 km/h) or higher. The ABS telltale lamp in the I/P may also illuminate. This may be caused by premature wear of the front wheel bearing(s).

Special Policy Adjustment
This special policy covers the replacement of front wheel bearings due to premature wear for a period of 5 years or 60,000 miles (100,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

For vehicles covered by Vehicle Service Contracts, all eligible claims with repair orders on or after September 1, 2006, are covered by this special policy and must be submitted using the labor operation codes provided with this bulletin. Claims with repair orders prior to September 1, 2006, must be submitted to the Service Contract provider.
