I have a 1997 Buick Regal V6, (93,000 miles) which has suddenly died 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Always managed to restart the car, sometimes right away - other times with a lot of cranking. My trusty mechanics cannot duplicate the stalling but in the meantime fixed a leaking coolant problem. They also swapped out a card assembly in the mass air flow device thinking that could be the problem. However the car quit again 2 times the next day and I managed to drive it back for them for a longer investigation. Any pointers to what might be my problem? Thanks for any suggestions.

I have been having the same problem with my 99. They suggested (and I saw another post on here that says) the cranksensor. Then I read another post for a 90 and they said the vacuum line? All I know is this must be a common problem, and it certainly is annoying. My wonderful machanic finally got it to die for them, but haven't determined anything. Read the previous post for more info.
