1961 Other Buick Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am trying to figure out how to remove the gas tank on my 1936 Buick Special model 48. The straps don't seem to have any nuts or anything holding them in place. They may be buried in dirt but I don't think so. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

take a screwdriver and dig around the strap at each end. there should be bolts/nuts that hold at least one end if not both. They may even come through the trunk/floor above the tank.
