My boyfriend is going to try to get this old Lesabre to keep running. It keeps having problems. He seems to think that it could be the crankshaft position sensor but he doesn't know where it's located. Can you describe in detail where it is and where I could find online instructions on how to remove it. He would like to put a new one on.

I changed my crankshaft positon sensor on my 91 lesabre. Its located behind the harmonic balancer, which is the buttom main pulley. Take the serpentine belt off. Jack up the car and remove the passenger side tire to gain acess to the balancer bolt. Once thats done youll need a balancer puller to get the pulley off without damaging it.
