2005 Buick La Crosse steering noise

When I start up my car, the steering makes a clunking or bumping noise when I turn the wheel the first few times, Also the steering feels "loose" throughout the ride. Any thoughts?

Hi there,

you best get all the steering components check for wear, this may be a serious and you don't want a steering failure while you are driving.

My 2005 did this. The dealer replaced the Intermidiate Steering Shaft under warranty. That solved the problem.
