I have only had this car for about a week. I am in charge of taking care of it while my brother is over seas, so I don't have much history about it other than it has been to the mechanic recently and apparently all is well and it was recently driven across country without issues.

However, the ABS light, Trac light and SES light are on and I can't get them to go off. The brake fluid level is good, I have tested the brakes and they work great, all fluids are fine, it runs perfectly. The only thing I can find is that it may need an oil change.

I have heard some chatter about maybe a front hub assembly issue. Any ideas on what I should do? My instincts say this is probably more of an electrical issue than a mechanical one and not too worry too much. I would like to be a little educated, though, before I cave and take it to a mechanic. Thanks!

Well, it is probably a speed sensor issue that is part of the front hub. But may also be a harness problem. When we diagnose them we check for codes and drive it with a scanner hooked up to read the speed sensors. Usually one drops out and we go after it from there.

So check the harnesses first, disconnect and look for any abnormalities, bare wires etc. After that you pretty much need a scanner.
