I am hearing a blowing sound coming from my engine when it shifts into first gear and out of first gear. When I listened closer, it sounded like one of the connecting rods was rubbing against the cylinder wall.(This was in park and idling). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check engine mounts first. In a power stall, does teh motor seem to rock?

Its no the mounts. Those are all good. When it shifts into third and sometimes 4th gear it makes a grinding sound. Its not coming from the back of the transmission but it sounds like its coming from the front. To me I think it might be the torque converter?
