2000 Buick Century Starter Dragging

What could be causing the starter to drag..the battery checks out to be good.. alt cks out to be good as well....belt tension is at proper tension too!

How did you check the battery? If you just check it with an ohm meter - that only tells you what the battery charge is. It could show 12v or more and you can still have the drag.... Why? because the Cranking Amps may not be up to par. If you had all that checked the next thing to do is to check your Battery Ground Wire make sure it is clean and has good contact.

Lastly it could be a bad starter. If you take it off most auto parts store can Bench Test them.
