what number air conditioning fluid does this model Buick take

Most likely R-134a. You can tell if it has quick connect fittings rather than the older Schrader valves for the earlier R-12. However, adding refrigerant without proper equipment and procedures can cause damage to the system and/or injury to the person attempting it. Not to mention violation of clean air laws.
