I would like to know if anyone has an idea of why the engine has completely shut down twice, the instances being separated by several weeks, while I was driving the car at ca. 50 mph. Once stopped, I was able to start it up right away. This never happened before the car was in an accident involving the left front bumper and the left front turn signal.

I live in Georgia, and we have had a protracted heat spell.

If you haven' tchanged your fuel filter in a while change it and then check your fuel pressure. It should be at leas 40p.S.I. Also get some choke cleaner and clean your throttle plate on both sides. Ithey get gunked up with oil and get sticky.A picture is on the tune site here on this site.
