Welcome to 2CarPros.

I have to be honest. The bulbs for your vehicle should be 12 volt bulbs. The only way they will blow out is if too much power it applied, which isn't something you can control. The system in the vehicle is a 12 volt system. The only way this system can see more voltage is if the voltage regulator is allowing the alternator to overcharge. See if the bulb will blow with the engine off.

With that, are you certain the bulbs are bad? Check the socket to make sure nothing is bad in it or not making contact. Also, try to wiggle a blown bulb in the socket to see if it turns on.

Do this and let me know what you find. Also, I need to know if the bulb for sure is blown.

Take care,
Joe
