Hi, I am driving a 2002 BMW330d with 144000km done. It is fitted with a Dastek Performance chip. The car was driving fine untill my girlfriend took it for a drive and was going quite fast. When she stopped there was a miss in the engin. I switched it off and when I started it the next morning it was fine again. What I have noticed is that if I drive it below 3000 rpm, the car is still going fine. No miss. But if I go over 3000 rpm+-, then the miss is back. If I switch the car off again and start after about 2 hours, then the miss is gone again. I took it to BMW and they couldnt find the problem. I think it might be a vacuum problem. Please help.

I would check for oil leaks. My car was acting like that replaced two gaskets in the engine then it drove fine.
