Check engine lights on, I used my basic code scanner and it says P1624 and the book says the first number "1" means manufacturers specific. And my book guide only goes up to P0999. Can you give me the code meaning?

The generic scan can come with a description such as cam sensor or evaporative system malfunction. Without more specific information, it's sometimes difficult to interpret generically derived data from BMW's because beyond OBDII criteria for readiness monitors and basic fault memory, BMW requires more specific scanning equipment.
