Replaced the A/C compressor and related components then vacuumed it down and charged it with Freon. The system blew cold for approximately 5 minutes and the blower quit. I removed the motor and wired it to the battery, and it kicked on. Replaced the resistor but that didn’t help. The compressor engages when the switch is turned on, but the blower doesn’t seem to be getting power. If checked all A/C related fuses and they are good.

Hi,

There are two fuses in the fuse box in the vehicle. I need you to first check them and confirm there is power to and from them. Here is a link you may find helpful:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If they are good, I need you to disconnect the connector at the blower motor. There will be a solid blue wire that should have battery voltage with the key on. Check that next.

If that has power, we need to confirm there is continuity to ground from the switch. There is a black wire in the left kick panel that is ground. Disconnect the switch, locate the black wire in the connector and confirm there is continuity to ground.

I attached the wiring schematic below for you to reference.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
