Bent rim, repair or replace it?

I recently bought the car and had my mechanic replace the tires and afterward he said my rim was “severely” bent. I went and checked for myself and I noticed a slight bend on the inside of the rim. I’ve been driving my car for long distances and at least 80 MPH for at least a week now and my tire still holds air and doesn’t wobble so I’m not sure if I should replace it or just leave it.

Hi,

In most cases, the rim can be repaired. As far as driving it, if properly balanced, you may not feel it, but it will wear the tire in an odd way over time.

Let me know if it is a steel or aluminum wheel. Steel is much easier to repair, but aluminum can be done.

Let me know.
