Van randomly beeping

My L300 van keeps beeping at random points, both when driving and when the car is off. We have filled up the oil, but it still beeps. There are no warning lights displayed.

Random beeps while off are different. Does it have any aftermarket items installed like an alarm or remote start? Some have a reserve battery in them in and will beep or flash lights to tell you the battery is low. Does it beep if the key is out of the ignition as well?
Does the beep sound like any other sounds it "normally" makes like the seat belt, lights or key in warnings?
