Last November my battery died on me and I had to buy a new one. Now y car won't start again. Is it the battery, which I have only had for 6 months, or is it something more serious? I got a boost yesterday and it started just fine and I drove it around for a few minutes to warm it up but now it won't start again. I also opened the good yesterday and noticed the cords are still connected to the battery but somehow the battery itself has come loose from the screws and that I was able to pick up the battery while still connected to the cords

have the battery load tested to see if it can hold a charge.
have the alternator checked for output as well. my bet is the alternator has failed.

have the battery hold down re done so it is secure
