So I noticed a battery light and got a free diagnosis at autozone and walmart. They said the battery cell has gone bad. I got it replaced yesterday at walmart, but still the battery light remained on. THey checked my alternator and starter and they both are Fine. They did not know why the light is on. I have changed my alternator 3 times in past 5 years.

It sounds like the alternator has failed again.

Check voltage at battery with the engine running. It should be 14 to 14.5 volts

Thanks Roy. However, I got my alternator checked 3 different places( walmart, autozone and advance auto), all of them checked in off and engine on position and said that the alternator is fine. Do you still think alternator has to be replaced? And how sooner does it have to be replaced. Can it last for a couple of weeks.
