2000 Audi S4 Question manufacturing fuel air metering

My check engine light has been on for a while. Several mechanics could not figure out the problem. No noise or problem except it did not pass CT emissions testing. Where do I start?

Hi there, if the check light is on there should be a set fault code stored in the ECU, a scan will read this code and the code will give you a starting point for the diagnostics.
