Cv joint replacement
Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2002 Audi A6 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 60,000 miles
I just recently replaced the CV joint on the drivers side and paid the dealer to replace it. My question is how easy is it to replace the joint on the passenger side? It is the outer one the boot is torn and I noticed that I was getting a little huming noise. So I jacked the car up and removed the tire and noticed the boot was torn.

bad cv joints mainly make a clicking noise on sharp turns when they are bad. Humming sounds like possible bad wheel bearing or maybe a tire. The axle isn't hard to do. You just need some special sockets to get the bolts out.
