I'm getting a notification to check my oil - problem is that I just had it changed, I've checked it and added to it. Any thoughts?? I'm also noticing an increasingly loud noise at start-up and when I push on or let off the gas a little - it sounds like a buzzing noise and I could be crazy but it sounds like it might be from under the engine - not sure though. HELP!!

Are you getting an engine oil LEVEL or PRESSURE warning?
The 1.8T has had lots of problems with oil sludging. If the oil is not changed with synthetic on a regular basis it will accumulate sludge in various places. Sometimes with new oil or just time, the sludge breaks loose and clogs the oil pickup. This creates low oil pressure and cause problems with the turbo, hydraulic valve lifters, hydraulic timing chain tensioner, and eventually heavy bearing damage.
I strongly recommend you TOW this vehicle to a shop and have it diagnosed. Any further driving can cause serious (AKA expensive) engine damage.

I'll get it over to the shop ASAP - thanks for the insight....I'm not sure if I'm getting a level or pressure indication - it just shows the little oil can pic on the digital display and then says to turn off the car and check the oil level when I hit the "check" button. This leads me to believe it's a level issue, but not 100% sure.
