I have a 2003 A4 1.8T Non-Quattro. I recently changed my spark plugs and went to Denso iridium plugs. Later that same day as I was entering the on ramp onto the highway and sped up to to get on my car tugged and hesitated and my check engine light blinked 8 times and then stoppped. Any suggestions as to what would cause this and what I could do to fix this? I have a code scanner and nothing comes up. Please help.

Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
