Changed the MAF sensor and EVAP purge valve. Still getting two codes P0171 and P2279. Checked all the air intake connections and no leaks I can see hear or find. Any ideas?

Have you checked to see if the intake manifold bolts are loose? It is extremely common for them to loosen up on that engine happens all the time.

The intake manifold is held on with Allen headed bolts they loosen up and cause a vacuum happens all the time. You will need a long ball Allen socket to tight all of them up.
