Hit an animal and busted my radiator and fan and pushed some stuff back. A line on the old air intake hose busted off. The other pics show where it busted out. What is that line for and what part do I replace?

Hi,
:
I'm not sure what you are saying is broken. Is it the 2 pin electrical connector? I believe that goes to the MAF sensor. There is another hose that likely goes to the PCV.

Let me know. I'm sorry I'm not sure which you are referring to.

It looks like this hose that I outlined in one picture off the air intake hose broke off some sensor or line. In another picture I outlined because there is plastic on the end of the line.

Hi,

I'm struggling trying to get a location. It looks like that is on top of the thermostat housing. The problem I'm having is the hose in the first pictures you sent normally run to the PCV. However, that isn't what I see in your picture.

I attached a picture. Can you tell approximately where the broken part is located by looking at the picture? Also, at the top of the damaged component, is there a hose attached to it?

I figured out what the part was. Its the air assist control solenoid. A line that comes out of the air intake hose runs to the solenoid.

Yep, that's the intake air control valve. That makes sense. When the engine is running, and the engine coolant temperature is less than 113 °F (45 °C), the intake air bypass control thermal valve sends air to the injector.

Let me know if you get everything back together.
