On my vehicle listed above; the compressor clutch works sometimes but then once it heats up it will turn off on its own or when I turn the car off it will not turn back on. I have tried hitting it with a hammer and that doesn’t get it back going.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good morning,

Hitting it with a hammer is a very bad idea. You may have damaged it from that alone.

When it does not work, did you check for voltage to the compressor?

Can you give me the pressure readings of the system as that controls the compressor?

I attached a diagram for you to test the highlighted wire for power to the compressor.

I hit it with a mallet, I put the wrong thing. I have not checked the voltage yet.

Okay, you can rent a set at a parts store or buy a cheap set at Harbor Freight.

Check the voltages.
