1996 Acura TL Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

i have a 1996 acura tl 5cyl it run fine but sometimes it wont start. I let it sate for a time say three or more hours and it starts with no problem? This I dont understand, can someone help?

Hi there,

I would be getting the fuel pump checked first, also you will need to know if it has spark at the plugs when it wont start.

Does it turn over every time and just not catch? Or does it just click when the ignition is turned? I replaced a starter on mine that had similar problems. Could be carbon build up on the contacts and brushes in the starter.
