1991 Acura Legend overheating.. smell of anti freeze?

Engine Cooling problem
1991 Acura Legend 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 186K miles

91 legend just passes PA state inpection--- drives great on open raods--BUT last week, I got stuck in traffic in philly --stop and go, stop and go.. then within 20 minutes in traffic...i smell & see smoke coming from tail pipe and under the car-- i almost thought i ran something over that got caught on car's underbelly because the smoke smelled like something was on fire?... when i parked the car & got out , i could smell antifreeze... temp gauge on dash does not spike at all?-- car still drives fine on open roads--**NOTE: it was my Mom's car b4 she passed away in April 2010-- so i am willing to fix whatever is wrong with it-- IF i can really find out the real deal--pls help --thx!

Hi deeraf,

Check the coolant level in the radiator. If it is low, get a pressure test done to locate the leak if there are no visible leaks after topping up.

Remember to bleed the syastem if the level is low and requires topping up.
