I have a 92' Integra with the 1.8l. Idle jumps from just under 1000 rpms to 1800 rpm's which eventually levels out about 1100 rpm's. The car will run great then will begin to stall, you can gas through it sometimes and others it dies off. When it starts to bog down it has a very muffled sound to it as if were being choked by air fuel or spark and kinda sounds like it misses a bit. I am able to start the car up agin for a short while but it eventually will not start until it has sat for awhile. I am getting clean fuel on both ends of my fuel filter, have any ideas on what it may be. Also the check engine light will pop on every so often and the problem would only happen once in awhile before is now daily. PLEASE HELP!

First thing is to pull the engine code. Remove the p/s kick panel and jump the service connector. The engine light will start flashing a code. That is your TDC. This will help tell you what is wrong.

The igniter's inside the distributor. It should be square shaped. Approx. 3x3 inches.
