Four cylinder four wheel drive automatic 26,953 miles

Hi, Its a modified Acura CL "01. I have this problem that keeps worrying me. Mechanic guy told me that timing belt is the major problem then I buy spare of Acura CL belts, timing belt was done last week and customer is now complaining that the car takes to long for it to start. car is hard to start when you let it sit for about ten minutes or longer it cranks good and takes about five to seven seconds to start up but if you start it every time after that time it starts right up. Ideas anyone?I checked the fuel, fuel pressure, timing is not off.

It is not the timing belt if the vehicle idles fine.

I know you have checked fuel pressure, but have you done a static fuel pressure leak test? Hook up the gauge, turn the key to RUNII this will prime the pump. You should see about 36-38PSI, look at the needle. does it drop? If so you may have leaking fuel injectors that is causing too much fuel to be in the combustion chamber during combustion. Another quick check for this would be to see if the spark plugs are rich (black and sooty). Some other possibilities would be weak spark, maladjusted ignition timing, weak cam/crank sensor signal, etc.
