A/C line cut. I'm replacing the line, purging and recharging the system. I need to know how much oil the A/C pump needs. I don't know if it can blow oil out of the low pressure side but I want to check just to make sure.

If you are only replacing a line, you do not need to put oil back in. The only time you put oil back in is when you replace a component.

Here is a guide on recharging just in case you need it:

If you want to put some oil in it, just drain the line into a cup and measure how much it is. However, I doubt you will get a tablespoon out of it.

Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks

Thanks so much. I've kind of been sweating this because I can't manage to find any info on the pump. This helps tremendously.

You are welcome. Yeah, the oil pretty much stays in all the components like the compressor and dryer so there is not much in the lines. You will be just fine as long as you evacuate it and pull it into a vacuum for at least an hour. That will make sure all the moisture is out and there are no leaks. Moisture in the system is what does in compressor pretty quick.

Thanks for using 2CarPros. Come back next time you have a question. Thanks
