There is a crack in my block which has oil squirting out of it right under the gasket on top of the engine oil. It squirts towards the hood small inch or less crack allowing oil to squirt out causing the car to smoke. Engine is running hot. How could I fix this without having to buy a new block?

If it is actually a crack in the block it is not a DIY repair. It would need to be torn down to the bare block. The passage verified and then the block baked and cleaned, then the crack could be welded and the oil passage cleaned out.

I would suspect it is actually a gasket that has failed. If you could take a picture and post it that would help.
