Vehicle Wont Start

Yesterday vehicle was working was great. This morning I went outside opened the door pressed the brake noticed immediately it was hard (normally its soft). With the brake pressed I hit the push button to start the vehicle and it made a zap noise and the check engine light came on and it wouldn't start. What could be wrong with my journey? Thank you.

Hello,

This sounds like you have a battery that needs replacement but to but sure lets go over this guide to test the battery.

Yep I followed the guide and the headlights were out in 5 minutes so made my trip to the auto parts store and got a new one thanks for the tip.
