My car feels like the front end is pointed slightly left and the rear end wants to drift right. I have had several alignments and they come out fine. When I turn left it feels like the back end is swinging a bit wide and when I turn right it feels like the back end is turning shallow and never coming all the way around. This may or may not be connected to a time in summer when I drove over a man-hole cover with the pavement heaved up around it, causing quite a loud bang. Not sure which wheel connected with it. My left front wheel seems to be back about an eighth of an inch. Would that cause symptoms like this?

Running over a large pothole can cause issues. An alignment measurement check would reveal any issues or red flags that the frame or suspension is tweaked.

Have you checked all of the steering and suspension for play or broken parts?
Check for bent rims also. I do this by raising the vehicle off the ground enough to spin the tires to check for bent rims. Check that all four tire pressure are at specifications.
The reason I'm asking about what you've check is that all of these parts can cause alignment or what feels like a alignment issue.
If you have the alignment print outs, if you would, send that information to me so I can look at the specification and look for any issues.
