Hello and thank you for your help. My third brake light stopped working. I am going to need to replace it. I opened the hard fabric cover which is in the trunk and there is a metal plate that I cannot get to the light. Is there another way to get to it please?

I have never replaced one of those bulbs before. It says you have to remove the rear window shelf trim panel and that it is serviced as a assembly. Looks like you have to pop the seat bolsters etc, loose to remove it. Looks like a real project.

You have to drop the gas tank. It is on the top side of the tank. So why are you changing the pressure sensor?

I do not see why that code would be related to the fuel smell. Can you see any fuel leaking underneath the car?

To diagnose the code the first thing is to see what the fuel pressure sensor is reading with the scan tool key in the run position with the engine off and the fuel cap off? You probably do not have a scan tool that will do that? Also, you could have a blocked fuel tank vent. That hose is usually right by the fuel tank filler pipe. If you are smelling raw fuel after the car is shut off more then likely you have a leak somewhere vapors or liquid fuel.

Hello. I looked under the gas tank and there seem to be something like light oil substance. The car does not start on the first try in the morning, but on the second try its fine. There are no messages on the dash board and the garage smells like gasoline all night. Please let me know something. Thanks

You are going to have to get under the car and start looking for the leak. The smell is coming from the rear? I do not know of any known common fuel leaks on those cars.

If it is in the back and you cannot see old fuel stains or a leak it is probably somewhere on the top of the gas tank.

Yep, you have a leak in the system. Did you check the gas cap seal? This is the most common place. Here is a guide that will help you get started:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken

With the code p0455 more then likely you have a stuck open canister purge solenoid. Leting vacuum constantly let vacuum into the gas tank. Ken please post a picture of the canister purge solenoid and its location.I dont have access to mitchel. What you going to want to do is see of you can blow thru the canister purge solenoid if you can bad.
