2008 Porsche Boxster Repair Question

My 08 Porsche Boxster is smoking more than usual from the exhaust. It smells of a strong burning. Not sure how else I can describe it. Any ideas?

It smells as either petrol or oil burning, but the smoking is embarassing. In the cold, I can't see out of the rear window when I start the car

Petrol would not emit too much smoke as it would result in erratic running. If the smoke is grey ( bluish) it is oil being burnt in the cylinders and you mentioned it is more prominent when starting from cold, that usually is due to oil getting past the valve seals.

Being a rather new vehicle, the vehicle should still be within warranty. Get the dealer to have a look at it.
