I noticed my battery was going dead and realized that the in dash lights would come on as soon as I started the car without the headlamps being on, so this must be killing my battery. Any suggestions why my in dash lights would be on without me turning on my headlamps? Thank You!

If the dash lights come on only with the key on how would that kill the battery with the key off? Also do you have auto head lights?

That's the only thing Iv'e notice different so something must be draining the battery because when I took it to Pepboys they put the battery on the machine it said the battery was good! The in dash lights stay on even if the headlights aren't turned on, something is draining the battery over night and the in dash lights should not come on until I turn on the safety lights or headlights. Thank you very much for your time and help! This problem has me stomped!

Before we start thinking that's the problem let's see if it really is. Is the dash lights the only thing coming on?No parking/running lights also?We need a multi meterthat can read millamp and amp ddraw. Harbor freight has them for cheap.
