My battery recently went dead and have just jump started it, now I have the abs light, the anti skid light and a flashing warning light all on. There is also another light on which I think is an engine warning light on but not sure. Also my speedometer isn't working at all and the fuel gauge is going up and down. The van is running as normal and has been before the battery went dead with no lights on the dashboard at all. I have driven it just up the road and back to charge the battery but don't know if I should be driving it all?

The speedometer is not working due to a faulty speed sensor (wiring
or corrosion) on the transmission / differential.

A faulty speed sensor also causes the fuel gauge to swing. Don't ask me
why, it just does.

We don't have VW Caddy's here in North America, so I can't say off of the
top of my head, where your speed sensor is located. If you post a picture or
two of your engine bay / transmission, I can probably point it out.

I would need the ABS Fault codes to make any type of guess as to what
the problem is with that.
