I would like to change the door handle to my rear door I already bought the handle but it seems like there is a part inside the handle that need to be changed to, I don't know where to buy that thing from or what is called, it located directly behind the handle.

Thanks for responding but I need it for the back door not side rear. What is the name of the part that located behind the handle (inside the door ) and where can I find it?

See pic that is called the endgate or liftgate on ones that go up as far as the door. See pics it may b the carrier that you want if I understand correctly. For rthat it may be part of the door handle assembly or separate you can go to a dealer or go to www. Gmpartsdirect. Com and type in your vin number then you can get what ever you want it's cheaper than the dealer and they ship to your door.
