2007 gmc acadia has check engine light on is weak in reverse and seems to slip in third i believe with dtc code of p2714

you have internal trans issues. you need a trans shop to track it down and give you a bid. it most likely will have to come out and be overhauled.

You most likley have a shattered 3-5 reverse clutch waved plate. It is the weak point on this transmission.The trans will need to be removed and torn down for an inspection.
