P0627 Fuel Pump 'A' Control Circuit/Open. Yep, something is shorted all right, try removing the pump and test wiring, connections and let me know.

One more problem. The pick up is working but there is a slight knocking noise in the engine. Then while driving, occasionally the knocking gets worst and there is a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. The scanner shows cylinder number 4 injector malfunction and then all other cylinder codes follow. Could this mean that injector 4 is faulty or all the injectors?

I re installed the injectors but I am still hearing a slight knocking sound coming from the engine. I am also getting a sort of rough idling.

Sometimes changing the oil will help the knocking sound, give the engine time to smooth out after the oil change.
