If your still having trouble with the cobalt maybe I can help. The engine in the cobalt should be a 2.2L 4cyl? If so that engine does not have a timing belt as it actually uses two(2) chains and guides. One chain for the cams the other is for a balance shaft in the bottom. If you have trouble with the balance shaft or it's chain that would explain the code as the misbalance at low rpm could cause a good vibration. That will also affect the chain to the cams and possibly throw the code. Another possibility is the Balancer on the end of the crank itself being seperated which could possibly have the same result. Any noises at all along with the vibration? Does the vibration occur only in drive or in park/neutral also? Good luck.
