Hi,

For about a month I have had to keep topping the oil about once a week as it seems to be going through a lot, I have checked for leaks but can not find any. I recently had to get the Crank Shaft Speed Sensor replaced as the throttle was going crazy, at the same time it was lacking power as well, after getting the speed sensor fixed I assumed that was the issue with everything, but the power is starting to lack again and now the engine is starting to shake violently if I accelerate, sometimes it will have smoother patches depending on what speed I am going but it still seems to be in a very serious state.

Have booked it in with a mechanic but that is a two week wait and they didn't offer any advice in the mean time.

Any thoughts on what this could be and how serious it is?

It could be a few things. First, when the vehicle is cold, I want you to check if there is any oil mixing with the coolant in the radiator or if there is coolant getting into the engine oil. Let me know what you find. Also, if that checks out fine, let me know if the check engine light is on and if you know what codes are stored in the system.

I have started cold, and no oil in water, and no water in oil (however the oil does have streaky black oil marks the oil even after a oil change and flush 3 weeks ago).

Vibration has decreased a small amount after topping the oil up.

No engine warning lights showing.

Does the oil get dirty right after you start it for the first time after changing oil?

Yes, slowly started getting dirty as soon as I changed oil. Blew dark smoke when I first changed the oil, but no smoke now, just a strange smell.
