The A/C does not blow cold air. Temperature control works as I can turn on the heater. I'm not sure if the clutch is engaging or not for the compressor. I've checked the fuse under the hood and the fuse in the glove compartment that indicates A/C and both are fine. I do not know where the A/C relay is located as I do not see any relay indicated with "A/C", is there an A/C relay? Other than replacing the compressor, what other things could I check prior to sending it to a mechanic to figure out? If I can figure out what the problem is I can fix it myself with the exception of getting the Freon lines back in action which I will send to the shop.

I've tried using A/C Pro to refill the Freon but the gauge is showing in the red, from what I have read if it's in the red the compressor is not on. I did test the A/C Pro on my other vehicle and it works as directed so its not a faulty can.

Good afternoon,

This sounds like the compressor is not on.

What pressure was on the gauge?

I attached a wiring diagram for you. You will need a test light to do some tests.

Is this while the engine is running?

You stated before it was in the red? Please explain.

Also, I see you attached a picture indicating that the relay is located in the IPDM and it not serviceable. So you can't access the relay to change it if it’s bad? You would have to replace the whole IPDM is that right?

Please note that the picture I attached is an example of the A/C Pro gauge and not the picture of the gauge while attached to the system. When attached to the system the gauge is in the red with the engine running and A/C on MAX.

I need to see it attached to the car and running.

Yes, if the relay is bad the entire unit must be replaced but we are not there yet.

I do not have a picture of it attached to the car and running at the moment and wont until later on this afternoon. When attached the needle is in the middle of the red with the car running.

Those gauges are not accurate at all. If it is in the red, then the compressor is not on.

Did you test the fuses with the test light to be sure power is at the fuse?

Understood, I do know the gauge works somewhat as I tested it on my F150.

I did not test the fuses with a test light yet, it will be the first thing I do when I get home and I will get back with you. Thanks

Okay, when you command the A/C on, check for power to the A/C compressor.

Okay, then it looks like you have a bad compressor not engaging.

Is there something else that would not make the compressor engage without the compressor being bad? Like another option that would cause the issue?

If you have power to the compressor, then that is the only option.
